ERYRI CANINE TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR BOOKINGS
Welcome to Eryri Canine! We are passionate about our role in ensuring your dog is well cared for and safe.
The below covers the “legal stuff”. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking any dog training sessions, class, course, workshop, event, seminar, consultation, walk or other service (together our “Services”). By agreeing a booking in relation to our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
(N.b., Please raise any doubts or concern(s) about your dog's participation in our Services early on and at the outset (or, if applicable, throughout the course) of our engagement. Should you have any doubts or concerns, it may be worth contacting your veterinary practitioner to discuss these. You are to make full disclosure of any quality or characteristic problems which might make your dog not suitable for the Services including but not limited to behavioural or health problems. These may include, by way of example, behavioural, health, antisocial display, aggression, incontinence, or lack of house training.)
- BOOKINGS AND PAYMENT
1.1 All bookings are subject to availability.
1.2 Full or partial payment, as specified at the time of booking, is required to secure your place, as agreed in advance between us.
- NON-REFUNDABLE PAYMENTS
2.1 All payments are strictly non-refundable, including deposits and full payments. This policy reflects the administrative work, limited spaces, and resources allocated when a booking is made. Your statutory rights are not affected.
- TRANSFERS AND AMENDMENTS
3.1 REQUESTS MADE BY YOU
3.1.1 You may request to transfer your booking to an alternative Service with a minimum of 2 days' (48 hour) written notice prior to the original start date.
3.1.2 All transfer requests are subject to availability.
3.1.3 If you fail to provide the required notice, your booking will be forfeited and no transfer or credit will be available.
3.2 AMENDMENTS MADE BY US
3.2.1 We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any Service due to circumstances including (but not limited to) instructor illness, low enrolment, venue issues, or safety concerns.
3.2.2 If we cancel or reschedule, you may choose one of the following:
3.2.3 A full refund; or
3.2.4(a) A transfer to an alternative date or equivalent Service (subject to availability); or
3.2.4(b) A credit note equal to the amount paid.
3.2.5 This is our sole liability for cancellations or changes.
- PARTICIPANT CONDUCT AND DOG WELFARE
4.1 You must conduct yourself responsibly and respectfully at all times during our Services.
4.2 You remain fully responsible for the behaviour, control, and welfare of your dog. As set out herein, it is your responsibility to ensure that your dog(s) are properly insured by you before attending our Services. For the avoidance of doubt, you are responsible for ensuring that you and your dog are adequately insured for any potential risks associated with our Services.
4.3 Dogs attending our Services must be fit, healthy, and (where required) properly vaccinated (including all vaccinations including but not limited to timely flea, tick and de-wormer treatments). Proof may be requested if reasonably necessary. It may be worth you consulting your vet before attending the class if you have any doubts or concerns about your dog’s wellbeing. You agree to notify Eryri Canine immediately of any infectious and/ or contagious disease or conditions which your dog has been exposed to or is affected by, such diseases and conditions included (but not limited to): Distemper, Hepatitis, Kennel Cough (Bordetella), Parvovirus, Corona virus, worms, Lyme disease, Fleas, Infectious Skin Diseases and Intestinal Parasites. Eryri Canine reserves the right to refuse admission to the Services until satisfied that the condition is resolved.
4.4 Dogs must be kept on a lead unless instructed otherwise by the trainer. You will be required to be in charge of your dog at all times and must keep them under full control. It is essential that all dogs participating should have a secure lead, collar and harness. No prong collars, choke chains, or check collars can be worn when participating in our Services. Whilst all breeds are welcome, those with reactivity or aggression issues must wear a muzzle that allows them to pant comfortably.
4.5 We may require you to remove your dog from a session if it exhibits aggressive, disruptive, distressed, or unsafe behaviour. Eryri Canine reserves the right to refuse admission to any dog at their absolute discretion and no refund, transfer, or credit will be provided.
4.6 We use and promote positive, reward-based training methods. Harsh handling is prohibited.
4.7 During our Services, a variety of dog training treats will be used. You must inform the instructor of your dog’s dietary requirements in advance.
4.8 The Owner acknowledges their essential role in the Dog’s training and understands that, despite the Trainer’s best efforts, there are no guarantees that the Dog will achieve any specific level of training or behaviour.
- INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
5.1 All training materials, written content, presentations, videos, and other resources provided by Eryri Canine are protected by copyright.
5.2 The Eryri Canine may take photographs and/ or videos during the Services for promotional or other purposes. By participating, you consent to the use of your imagine and/ or your pet’s image in such materials unless you explicitly notify us in writing prior to the event. All such media remains the property of Eryri Canine.
- LIABILITY
6.1 While we will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of participants and their pets, participation in our Services is at your own risk. Eryri Canine cannot be held liable for any injury that is sustained to a pet either inside our classes, or outside in your care. If your pet becomes injured whilst participating in our classes you are responsible for any veterinary bills that may arise.
6.2 You are responsible for ensuring that you and your dog have appropriate insurance (such as pet insurance, public liability cover, or personal accident cover).
6.3 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eryri Canine, its instructors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or expense (including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or financial loss) suffered by your or your dog arising from or in connection with our Services, except in cases of death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
6.4 The Trainer shall not be held responsible for any perception by the Owner that the information or advice provided was incorrect, inappropriate, or unsatisfactory.
- PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY
7.1 We may take photographs or videos during Services for promotional, educational, or marketing purposes.
7.2 By taking part, you consent to the use of images of you and/or your dog unless you notify us in writing before the Service begins.
- EMERGENCY AND VETERINARY
8.1 In the event you (the dog’s owner) are not present, for example where the Services include dog-walking, Eryri Canine will contact the owner promptly in the unfortunate event of an emergency and take your dog to either (1) your (the owner’s) nominated veterinary surgeon or (2) the nearest veterinary surgeon, if veterinary aid is required.
8.2 Please note that whilst we will make every effort to contact the owner in the event of an emergency, we recommend you provide us with a contact number of a trusted third party should we be unable to contact you. Eryri Canine will only ever contact them if you cannot be reached.
8.3 If you or your alternate contact is not available, Eryri Canine reserves the right to consult with a veterinary surgeon and make decisions which are in the best interests of your dog’s health and on the advice of a veterinary surgeon.
8.4 You as the dog’s owner agree that you are responsible for the cost of any veterinary treatments whilst your dog is in the care of Eryri Canine in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, in particular this clause 9 and clause 6 above. Eryri Canine cannot be held accountable for vet fees or third-party claims relating to injuries or illness which occur whilst your dog is in our care.
- DATA PROTECTION
9.1 We will process any personal data you provide in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website.
9.2 By booking, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
- GOVERNING LAW
10.1 These Terms and your booking are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
10.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
- CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
11.1 We may amend these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on our website and will apply to all future bookings.
11.2 It is your responsibility to review the Terms before making each booking.
